Financial Rewards & Wellness

Bonuses are based on several criteria including:
i) the overall performance of the business
ii) the team’s performance
iii) your individual performance (including but not limited to how you have demonstrated operating successfully within the Puma values; being an exceptional ambassador for the business; adding value to the business more holistically etc.)

Our enhanced company pension scheme is with Aviva. Where an employee contributes a minimum of 5% of their qualifying earnings, Puma will make a contribution of 8% of the employee’s base salary, up to a cap of £8,000 per annum (contributions of 8% are made on base salary up to £100,000 pa only). We are also happy to top up contributions to your personal pension scheme by 7% of what you put in.

Minimum life assurance of 4 x base salary, depending on role. Our current cover is with YuLife and means that this is expected to be paid out from a trustee scheme free from tax (this is an excepted scheme so does not count towards your Lump Sum and Death Benefit Allowance (LSDBA)). In addition to the life assurance cover, YuLife take a preventative approach to employee wellbeing. Their fun, interactive wellbeing app offers tangible rewards to encourage you to make healthier lifestyle choices and build healthy habits.

For roles which are eligible for commission, employees will have the potential to earn commission on a quarterly basis. Eligibility and applicable rates are detailed in a separate policy relevant to the role.
Health & Wellbeing

Our healthcare cover is currently with Bupa, and we have one of the most comprehensive schemes on the market. The level of cover is ‘Comprehensive’ with Medical History Disregarded (which means that prior conditions are not excluded from the cover as is sometimes the case with other providers).
Please note, there is a £200 excess for each year which applies from the scheme’s annual renewal date.

Our EAP can assist you with personal and/or work- related issues that may impact job performance, health, mental and emotional well-being. Available 24/7 and confidential.

Digital GP provided by Blua Health – online consultations with GPs, pharmacists and nurses through a smartphone or tablet. 24/7 round the clock access to online appointments, with the choice of either an online or video appointment.

We recognise the importance of supporting employees affected by menopause. Our policy includes paid leave for medical appointments or managing symptoms, and access to Bupa’s Menopause plan offering 12 months of support and a 24/7 anytime Healthline.

In the event of baby loss, if you (or your partner) go through a miscarriage however early, as well as offering support from a pastoral perspective, we offer a minimum of two weeks paid leave for all employees who are affected by this.
Holiday & Time off

In addition to the base holiday allowance of 25 days (pro-rated for part-time employees), you will receive an extra day for each year worked. This increased allowance will come into effect on your 2-year work anniversary and is capped at 5 extra days.
We also offer an additional day (non-contractual) where the office closes at 12pm on Christmas Eve and New Years’ Eve.

We take birthdays very seriously. You get to take the day off in addition to your holiday allowance so that you can celebrate however you choose to!

We offer an additional day off if you are moving house each calendar year.

We offer the opportunity to give back to the community with a paid day to volunteer partnering through our foundation and chosen charity of the year.

After five years of service, employees can take up to one month off – this includes two weeks at full basic pay, plus two weeks either unpaid or taken as holiday.
After ten years, employees are entitled to a fully paid month-long sabbatical on top of the usual holiday allowance.

Our location flexibility policy gives employees the freedom to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks each year.
Family Support

We offer enhanced maternity pay which includes 3 months full pay, increasing to 6 months full pay after 2 years’ service.
We offer enhanced paternity leave which includes 2 weeks full pay, increasing to 4 weeks full pay after 2 years' service.
